ABOUT ATARI MUTINEER
A REAL BBS FOR REAL ATARI HARDWARE.
Atari Mutineer is a modular bulletin-board system written primarily in Atari BASIC and packaged for SpartaDOS X. It can run in Altirra or on compatible Atari 8-bit hardware with suitable storage and serial connectivity.
1.3.183 / REMMS 1.7
The current package contains a complete bootable 16 MB board image, three door games, operator documentation, machine-readable release evidence, and SHA-256 checksums.
Mutineer is split into standalone BASIC applications for wait-for-call, login, the main menu, messages, files, doors, chat, maintenance, and scheduling. APPMGR dispatches between them while REMMS preserves the active caller session.
The operator owns the board image and its data. Users, callers, messages, file records, door state, and configuration live on Atari-compatible storage and can be backed up with the board.
The source, documentation, build tools, and release artifacts are available under the repository license with attribution. Atari Mutineer BBS and REMMS were written by Rick Collette (megalith).
