RESIDENT COMMUNICATIONS.

REMMS owns modem state, routes local and remote I/O, preserves the session across BASIC programs, provides text and raw byte APIs, and returns cleanly to WFC after carrier loss.

DISK-BACKED BASES.

Public areas, private mail, moderation, unread tracking, recovery, verification, compaction, and scheduled maintenance use native storage workers.

OPERATOR-CONTROLLED UPLOADS.

Multi-area listings and transfers are supported. Caller uploads enter quarantine and cannot be listed or downloaded until a sysop approves them.

RAW BYTES STAY RAW.

XMODEM checksum, XMODEM CRC-16, XMODEM-1K, and YMODEM batch workers bypass terminal translation through REMMS native services.
